Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank Limited (TADB) is a government-owned
financial institution that operates under the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
The bank is registered under the Companies Act of 2002 and operates with a
license granted under the Banking and Financial Institutions Act No. 5 of 2006
and the Banking and Financial Institutions (Development Finance) Regulations of
2012. As a Development Finance Institution, TADB operates according to its

TADB was created with the purpose of achieving two primary objectives:
- Promoting sustainable
food self-sufficiency and security in Tanzania.
- Facilitating the
transformation of agriculture from subsistence to commercial farming to
contribute effectively to economic growth and poverty reduction.
TADB is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of an Intern in
the Legal Services Unit, where they will support the team in various tasks such
as:
- Assisting in drafting
contracts and legal documents.
- Conducting legal
research on assigned topics using legal databases and other resources.
- Helping review and
revise contracts, loan documents, and legal agreements.
- Conducting factual
investigations and preparing reports.
- Drafting legal
correspondence, such as memoranda and letters, under supervision.
- Assisting in preparing
for meetings and investigations of statutory registers related to loan
applications and legal statuses.
- Supporting the
registration, monitoring, and organizing of loan documents and statutory
records.
- Ensuring legal
compliance with relevant laws and regulations under the guidance of the
Legal Officer.
- Performing other duties
as assigned.
Required Competencies:
- Ability to understand
and follow directives.
- Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.
- Awareness of client
needs and the ability to address them effectively.
- Ability to develop work
plans based on business outcomes.
- Capacity to give and
receive constructive feedback.
- Ability to complete
tasks within set deadlines.
- Proficient in writing
well-composed reports and letters.
Qualifications:
- A University degree in
Law.
- Admission as an Advocate
of the High Court or eligibility for admission.
- Successful completion of
Law School is an advantage.
- Strong communication and
interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy.
