The Tanzania Agriculture Productivity Program (TAPP) is a five year project funded by USAID. Our mandate is to improve the incomes and food security levels of small-scale farmers. TAPP invites candidates suitably qualified to fill the positions listed below.
Business Skills, Finance and Marketing Manager
We are looking for dynamic and experienced Business Skills, Finance and Marketing Manager to support the program. The candidates' duty stations will be Morogoro, but significant amount of time in the field is to be expected.
Responsibilities:
• Integrating business, finance and marketing programming into USAID-TAPP's technical activities.
• Ensuring that business, finance and marketing activities work to achieve the strategic objectives of USAID TAPP and meet the targets set by the project and USAID.
• Managing project marketing specialists to ensure that they effectively provide direct technical assistance, and training in market development as well as assisting in market access / linkages and sales contracts to their portfolio of TAPP-assisted farmers, producer groups and agribusinesses.
• Managing project business development specialists to ensure that they effectively provide direct technical assistance and training in business management practices and access to finance to their portfolio of TAPP assisted farmers, producer group and agribusinesses.
• Liaising with other TAPP technical service providers to ensure TAPP Beneficiaries acquire integrated support (Business Development, Health and Nutrition, Production, Grants, etc.)
• Interacting with senior staff to develop strategy for provision of integrated services
• Supervising all monitoring and evaluation activities as they relate to business and marketing activities and report on progress towards objectives.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly progress report on business and marketing activities.
• Responsible for the relationships with the partner Financial institutions.
• Preparing a bi weekly progress report on the loan pilot project.
Qualifications:
• University Degree in finance, agribusiness, business administration, marketing or related areas.
• Minimum 5 years experience in managerial positions.
• Availability to travel
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili
• . A valid driving license, an ability to drive manual cars and experience driving in rural areas is required as considerable field work is involved.
